§ 03Supervision & professional law

No special authorisations required.

Sentinel.jobs (Fakten Verlagshaus AG) is operated from Switzerland as an online job platform. It does not constitute employment placement in the narrow sense — the platform exclusively provides the technical infrastructure for providers and applicants.

  • §Switzerland: General commercial-law supervision by the Canton of Schwyz. No licensing obligation under the Employment Services Act (AVG).
  • §Germany: No permit required. The placement licence formerly governed by § 296 SGB III was abolished in 2002; pure job portals are not subject to any special supervision.
  • §Austria: No trade authorisation required as long as there is no permanent establishment in Austria and no active placement within the meaning of the AMFG. Cross-border online services from Switzerland are permitted under the freedom to provide services.
§ 04Dispute resolution

Online dispute resolution & consumer arbitration.

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address can be found above.

Sentinel.jobs is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board — subject to specific statutory provisions for certain contract types.

All content published on this website — in particular texts, logos, graphics, layouts, fonts and source code — is protected by copyright. Unless otherwise stated, protection rights belong to Fakten Verlagshaus AG.

  • §The Sentinel.jobs trademark is protected in favour of Fakten Verlagshaus AG.
  • §Reproduction, modification, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright law require prior written consent.
  • §Downloads and copies are permitted only for private, non-commercial use.
§ 06Liability for content

Responsibility for own and third-party content.

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws (§ 7 para. 1 TMG, § 18 ECG, Art. 14 EHKG).

However, we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances indicating unlawful activity (§§ 8 to 10 TMG, §§ 13–17 ECG). Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected.

Job listings are submitted by the respective employers and lie within their exclusive editorial responsibility. A formal editorial pre-check is performed but does not replace substantive confirmation of the information.
§ 07Liability for links

Links to external offerings.

Our website contains links to external third-party websites whose content we cannot influence. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content.

The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Unlawful content was not identifiable at that time. We will remove such links immediately as soon as we become aware of any legal infringement.

§ 08Whistleblower system

Reporting misconduct.

In fulfilment of the obligation under EU Directive 2019/1937 and Swiss whistleblower protection pursuant to Art. 321a OR, Fakten Verlagshaus AG operates a confidential internal reporting system. Reports of unlawful or ethically questionable conduct can be submitted in confidence and, on request, anonymously:
